Summary:
1) The right of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) with regards to the ‘Mothers of Believers’.
2) The virtues of the ‘Mothers of the Believers’.
3) Their numbers and their names.
4) The way the Rafidhah and the Shiaah describe them is of the most evil innovations.
5) The disbelief of he who curses any of the ‘Mothers of the Believers’.
6) The responsibilities and duties of each believer towards the Rafidhah.
Among the duties towards our Prophet Mohammed (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), is to glorify his wives - The ‘Mothers of the Believers’ and to respect and honor them and to remember them, in our dua (supplications). Did Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala not praised them in his book when he says which translates as; "O Wives of the Prophet you are not like any other women"(Al-Ahzab: 32), and he also said in the same Surah in the next verse, which translates as; "Allah wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs, (evil deeds and sins) from you, O Members of the family of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), and to purify you with a thorough purification".
As we have explained before, the wives of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) are included in this verse as his relatives. Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala asserts their virtue, high rank, and great rights when He says which translates as: "The Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) wives are the believers mothers” (Al-Ahzab: 6). They are mothers in the sense of them being unlawful to marry and the obligation to respect them, honor them, and glorify them. Glorifying and respecting the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is to glorify respect and honor his wives and his family members.
He, who glorifies them and respects them, does so out of love and respect for the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), he does so, to glorify the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).
It is the
consensus of the scholars that the Prophet (Salla
Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) married eleven women. Ten of his wives are from Arab
lineage and one from the children of
These noble women are the wives of our Prophet Mohammed (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and they are the best of women, most pure, kind, and good, among all women. How could they not be? They are the wives of the most kind and pure creation - the highest in rank - Mohammed (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Allah says which translates as: which translates as: "Good women are for good men and good men are for good women". (An-Nur: 26)
Two of the Prophet’s (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) wives were chosen by Allah, they were A’isha (Radhiyallahu Anha), the daughter of Abubakar (Radhiyallahu Anhu), when, before the marriage, Jibreel came to the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) in her shape, dressed in a silken garment. The other one was Zainab bint Jahsh, the one who Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala referred to in Surah Al-Ahzab which translates as: "So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her, and divorced her that is, we gave her to you in marriage" (Al-Ahzab: 37).
Allah gave her in marriage to the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and she was always proud of that and she boasted of it saying; "Allah married me to the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) from above the seven heavens".
These are the wives of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and his wives are the ‘Mothers of the Believers’, the most kind and the most pure of all women and all wives. Allah made them the ‘Mothers of the Believes’ giving them great rank, position and great rights.
So the believers must know their position and rank and fulfill their due rights by glorifying them, respecting them and honoring them.
Of the ugliest innovations, most evil disbelief and hypocrisy is the practice of the Rafidhah. They curse some of the ‘Mothers of the Believers’ - the wives of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and slander them, especially the daughter of Abubakar - the truthful A’isha (Radhiyallahu Anha) and Hafsah the daughter of Umar Al Farooq, may Allah be pleased with her and her father.
There is no doubt that these acts, are acts of disbelief and hypocrisy, and takes the doer out of the fold of Islam. Cursing any of the wives of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is defaming the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and dishonoring him (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), this makes such persons disbelievers by this action and takes them out of the fold of Islam. It reflects their evil nature and their hypocrisy.
No man accepts anyone cursing his family and slandering his wife, for that is a disgrace and a shame to him. Displeasing the Messenger (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is a major act of disbelief and takes the person out of the fold of Islam. In addition cursing any one of the wives of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is something that harms the Messenger (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), which means that he becomes a disbeliever, and goes out of the fold of Islam.
Allah the most high has says which translates as: “Verily those who annoy Allah and his messenger, Allah has cursed them in this world and in the hereafter and has prepared for them a humiliating torment"(Al-Ahzab: 57).
It is known from the Qur’an, that no one is warned against humiliating and painful torment except disbelievers, because they remain in the hell fire, and never come out of it. May Allah protect us from this.
As for cursing our mother A’ishah - the daughter of Abubakar Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with them, another reason that makes one’s cursing her a disbeliever and leaving the fold of Islam, is because cursing her, is a denial of more than thirteen verses of the Quran, that are mentioned in Suratul Nur. These verses were revealed to prove the innocence and purity of A’isha from the accusations of the hypocrites. The Rafidhah, the Shiaa, and the descendants of these hypocrites - the grandchildren of Abdullah Ibn Ubay Ibn Saluun continue to curse her. Our mother the truthful, the daughter of the truthful, A’isha the daughter of Abubakar, May Allah be pleased with them.
By this behavior they are acting just like the Jews, may Allah curse them all, - when they accuse Maryam the daughter of Imran, the mother of Issa (Alahi Salam) with adultery and fornication. Therefore, in that, they are brothers in slandering and in evildoing.
The problem is when such an action - this evil innovation - disbelief and hypocrisy takes place in such a pure city - the city of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). It is the worst kind of innovation and disbelief when it happens in such a place. May Allah and his angels and all people curse those who do so.
Moreover, it was announced by the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) that he who accommodates those who do such actions by renting them homes, or hotel rooms, knowing that they are of this category of evildoing and disbelief, then he is also cursed by Allah and his angels and all people. Also included are those who knowingly help such people or guide them, or direct them to places where they can rent, be they officers, employees, or others. Allah, his angels, and all people also curse them.
As we were
told by the truthful, the trustworthy, the master, our Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi
Wa Sallam) in the authentic Hadith
he (Salla Allahu Alaihi
Wa Sallam) said: "
What could be more of an innovation and more evil than cursing the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) or dishonoring him by cursing and slandering his wives? What is greater than cursing the companions of the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) his soldiers and protectors and allies?
So for all
of you, those who love the messenger (Salla
Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and his companions, know that the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi
Wa Sallam) has a great right and that you are entrusted with it.
Those who are neighbors of the Prophet (Salla
Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) by living in
I know that none of you will accept the cursing of your family or the slandering of your wife; you will become angry and may even kill the abuser. How do you not become angry when it is the honor of the master, the chosen one, the messenger (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)? How do you not become angry for his (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) honor? How can you accept someone cursing his (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) family and slandering his (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) wives? This is defaming the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and dishonoring him (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and harming him (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). How can you remain silent knowing that? How can you turn the other way from such an evil crime? - An innovation and clear disbelief!
Indeed this is a great crime, - impoliteness in dealing with the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) - that we keep silent and turn the other way and not become angry for his honor Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).
We seek refugee with Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala, from His anger and we ask His forgiveness, and we repent to Him. I ask Allah to bless you and I by means of guidance through the Qur’an, and make us all benefit from its verses. I ask Allah's forgiveness for you and I. He is All Forgiving, All Merciful.
O Muslims, be with the congregation, for Allah supports the congregation and he will saved it from a path leading to the hell fire and know that the congregation - Al Jama’ah becomes strong by holding on to the book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and the way of the companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.
O Son of Adam;
Love whoever you want; you will eventually depart from him.
Do whatever you want; you will eventually see its result.
Be as you wish, for as you do - you will be dealt with.
